Spring! Spring! Spring!

It's officially March! That means it’s time to say goodbye to old man winter and say “Hi” to spring! Awaken your soul and feel the warmth of early spring and get ready to explore somewhere you can smell the scents of the new season.

Here are a few ways to fully relish the spring season:

1. Eat seasonal fruits & vegs from your local markets.

2. Put on an outfit with colors that say “Warm-me-up“

3. Go on an adventure to find blooming flowers.

Here in Southern California, the bloom season usually begins in February and runs through May depending on the flower. Last week, we drove to the Fresno County Blossom Trail which is about 2.5 hours from LA. It was the perfect time to go and see the white & pink hues from various kinds of fruit trees like plum, apricot, peach, orange and almond all in one area. Pretty amazing right?

For this getaway, I styled a comfy flowery Sherpa jacket with my mini white dress. Since the temperatures during spring can be either too warm for a coat or too cold for a t-shirt, I think that a Sherpa jacket is a good choice for the chilly breeze of early spring.

A Straw hat & a pair of Work boots were the perfect choice to protect myself from the UV and dirt.

Be prepared for fresh dirt!

Spring is also a good season to try some bridal mini dresses. You know, not in a traditional style but in a cool, less formal way.

There was no one around but us and the sky was blue.

Here are my color suggestions for spring. Trust me, although some of it may seem obvious, it will make it so much easier to style yourself for spring.

“Popcorn Yellow,

brighter and buttery. Plus, light and airy feelings.”

“Soft Lilac,

which is more pink or blue shades, but surprisingly sleek with a new perspective on purple.”

“Dreamy Ivory,

warmer shades like a shiny reflection from sand on the beach”

The sun has begun to shine. Mother nature is slowly awakening. Go outside, observe some butterflies and bees flitting by, and listen to the world around you. Make the most of your opportunity to enjoy this lovely season.

-Farewell, from your Spring.
