Lady in RED : Valentine’s Day Outfits
Writing about 'Valentine's Day Outfits' itself sounds like a cliché, doesn’t it? Some people might think Valentine’s Day is just some fake holiday made up by commercialism. But no matter your relationship status, the holiday is a nice excuse to try on some bold colors and get dressed up. Whether you plan on having an intimate dinner for two or a relaxing movie night, we all know that the color that most reflects love on Valentine’s Day is none other than Red.
RED
Throughout history, red has been the color of passion, romance, and symbolic of the heart. In fact, the red rose was the favorite flower of Venus, the Roman goddess of love. So whether you're going for a chic, laid back, or romantic outfit, red is one of those colors that works for everything.
Red is one of my favorite wardrobe palettes, but for some people, this bold and sassy color can be a little bit risky, especially on the holidays. You can either nail it or feel uncomfortable looking 'too red'. But the secret is combining it with other colors that either tone it down, or make it pop, if you're looking for a more colorful look.
As you’ll see below, these looks stay true to the romantic spirit with pops of pink & red here and there, but really feel like an ensemble you can wear all year round.
1/ PLAY IT COOL
If you are staying at home or playing it cool, but still want to have a little fun for the day, you can be smart and subtle with your red accents. This type of casual but cute outfit can still be fitting for Valentine's Day, but they don't scream red in any way. Balance out a T-shirt or a sweater with a pair of casual jeans for a fully unexpected (but still cute) V-Day outfit.

2/ Hello, Cutie Pie
Adorable mini dresses are the perfect choice for a first date and it does a really good job on V-Day too. But to avoid an overly romantic outfit, add a chic biker jacket. I definitely believe you can keep things casual, but also look cute too.

Mini Red Dress + Biker Jacket + Stretch Over-The-Knee Boots + Bucket Bag + Coin Pendant Necklace + Colorful Hoop Earrings
3/ I’M A PLAYER
If you live where it’s colder, don't worry. An oversized coat will help boost the inner red items for both Valentine's Day events and the freezing temperatures. Especially for the inner, wear items with a little HOT & CHIC energy with sassy details like a cut-out or off-shoulder. Perfect choices for an intimate Valentine's Day dinner. I promise it'll look absolutely fire.
