For her first solo exhibition, Cho Yoon Jung has chosen to express the pure beauty, or as she calls it 'Daydream', through several experiments combining abstract and visual elements. The first motif begins with her favorite aspects of nature: coral, flowers, waves, and clouds. Throughout her work, there is a focus on embracing the beauty of irregularities without boundaries: searching for the idea of beauty and the imperfections hidden within by merging the dream-like components with the familiar.
‘In the middle of reality and beyond, it's like being in a dream somewhere.’
These works represent those unrealistic fantasies that one must wake up from - containing the contradiction of the incomplete and spectacular. Beginning with the concrete elements, the artist hopes that you will 'daydream' through your own world, liberated with freedom of the abstract.
